ACDS to Hold a Seat in the
AMA House of Delegates
The American Medical Association (AMA) House of Delegates approved the American Contact Dermatitis Society (ACDS) to hold a seat in the AMA House of Delegates at its annual meeting in Chicago. The AMA Board of Trustees recommended ACDS for approval because our society fulfilled the criteria for inclusion to be a seated delegate. Criteria included requirements such as proven engagement over a four-year interval as well as reaching the threshold for AMA membership among our members.
As a seated society, ACDS joins the ranks of other delegates in the AMA Dermatology Section Council. This entitles ACDS to send a delegate an an alternate delegate to represent the society at the AMA. It will also qualify the society to appoint an advisor to the AMA Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) committee and the AMA Relative Value Scale Update (RUC) Committee.
