About the Fisher Lectureship


The Alexander Fisher Lectureship is awarded in honor of Alexander Fisher, MD honoring his contributions to the field of contact dermatitis. The lecturer is selected based on his or her contributions to contact dermatitis, reflection of the spirit of Dr. Fisher's enthusiasm for the subject of contact dermatitis, and for sharing knowledge and experience in evaluating patients.

 

Boris Lushniak, MD, MPH Named 2010 Fisher Lecturer

The American Contact Dermatitis Society is pleased to announce that the 2010 Alexander Fisher Lecturer is Boris Lushniak, MD. His lecture is entitled, “I'm from the Government
and I'm here to...”.

Boris D. Lushniak, MD, MPH is a Rear Admiral (RADM) and Assistant Surgeon General in the U.S. Public Health Service (USPHS). He serves as the Assistant Commissioner, Counterterrorism Policy for the FDA and directs the Office of Counterterrorism and Emerging Threats.

A career officer in the USPHS, RADM Lushniak came to FDA after a 16-year career at the CDC. RADM Lushniak received BS and MD degrees from Northwestern University and an MPH from Harvard University. He is board certified by the American Board of Preventive Medicine (Occupational) and the American Board of Dermatology.
